Lunch at Pauls

Was on course at Jurong East and finally get a chance to visit the west side of Singapore. I like Westgate more than Jem as it's not like a neighbourhood shopping mall.

Decided to have lunch at Pauls today since I have yet to try it out in SG yet.
I got myself the soup of the day and the sea bass
Overall, the food is average. Considering it's only $14.80++, it's quite cheap.

Okonomiyaki

First attempt at making okonomiyaki using this DIY set bought from mediya supermarket.

U juz need to add some water, cabbage, eggs, spring onions and sliced pork.
Voila~! This is the 1 person portion of the okonomiyakI.  The DIY set can make 4 of this. It taste pretty close to the real stuff but I can only finished half of it before I surrender. Somehow, it is super filling....it's like the thing expanded 10x in my stomach after eating it. I never wana eat another okonomiyaki again....

New wall decor

Hubby is interested in art so whenever he went to any museums he will surely buy some art replicas for some of his fave paintings.

Above is a replica of the Sunrise painting by Claude Monet which he bought from Marmotten Museum in Paris. It's now the center piece of the living room.
For his study room, he replaced all four pictures with new replicas, mostly bought from Lourve Museum.
My fave is this wall decal which I sticked it above the white cabinet in the dinning room.

Goodies from France...

Hubby is finally back yesterday after being away for 2 weeks in France due to his work.

Since the longchamp bag which I ask him to buy for me is not yet available, he got me the orange red leather bag instead. It was on sale and only cost 245 euro instead of the 300 over euro I saw last time. Since Cath Kidston was so much cheaper there compared to SG, I also told him to help me buy the foldable poka-dots backpack and the zipped wallet which is also on sale.
Yes!!! I get the chance to eat Pierre herme macaroons again! This time, I get to try out two limited flavors- the Jan and Feb Jardin series. January flavor is Jardin Pamplemousse which is grapefruit, Clove, nutmeg, and candied grapefruit. Personally, I think the flavor is kinda weak and the grapefruit taste is less intense as compared to my all time fave Mogador.
February is Jardin Parfume which is Rose and Jasmine. It smell nice and not overpowering so u won't feel like u are eating perfume.
I also ask hubby to get me this Pierre Herme cereal since I like eating cereal. It's made up of oatmeal 30%, honey, sunflower seed, almond stick, pumpkin seed, pecan, pistachio, raspberry puffed rice, freeze-dried lychee, freeze-dried raspberry, raspberry powder and natural rose flavour.
It taste v nice yet healthy and nutrious. The nuts are fragrant and crunchy and overall, it has a nice slight rose fragrance. This has to be the most nicest fragrant smelling cereal I ever eaten. I feel like I can eat this for breakfast everyday....haha.

Tea and biscuit from Fauchon for my afternoon tea.  The teas do not have any caffeine so its suitable to drink at night before sleeping. It's supposed to calm and relax the mind, which is something I need after a shitty day at work.
Lastly, skin care product from Loccitane. This is not available in Changi airport. I tried using it yesterday and its quite good. It has a nice aroma and my skin feel cleaner after using it.

Lunch at Queen & Mangosteen

Decided to treat myself to sth nice during lunch by trying Queen and Mangosteen.
I ordered the lunch set meal at $15.90 and top up extra $1 for a soup and drink. It's actually v worth it coz the mushroom room is v nice....not the cheap starchy type of soup u get from delifrance. For my set, I chose the Vietnamese baguette with minced beef and veg. It's good! The baguette was warm and crispy on the outside and the sour vinegar veg makes it v appetising. I couldn't finished the bucket of lime flavored fries. Total cost of meal after GST and service charge is $20. Totally worth it for a good lunch in a nice ambience environment.
