GSS lunch promo at Dazzling Cafe

Decided to pop by Orchard Central at Somerset last week to try out the GSS set lunch at Dazzling Cafe.
Loved the interior decor of the place! Instantly felt relaxed and comfortable once I stepped in.
I chose the mushroom soup and mentaiko spaghetti.
The mushroom soup had a bit of truffle oil on top. It was delicious and I almost lick my bowl clean.
The mentaiko spaghetti was beautifully done and the portion was just nice for me. The spaghetti was al dente and the sauce was rich with mentaiko taste with alot of small orange fish roe.
Unfortunately I did not get to taste their famous dessert as we are too full. There is no additional charge for ice/warm water. In total, the bill comes up to $19.90 nett just like what it had advertised. A good for value, happy and delicious lunch for me.

Four fingers lunch

Had lunch at Plaza Sing today and decided to try out four fingers. We ordered the 18 chicken set with kimchi coleslaw. Somehow the kimchi coleslaw was disappointing and the chickens were not hot, as in it did not taste as though it was just fried but more like it had been sitting around for quite some time to cool....still prefer chicken up, which taste way better.

Sumiya charcoal grill izakaya

Saturday night dinner at Sumiya Suntec before watching Finding Dory. It was my first time at Sumiya. The ambience and service was good and there was more variety of food compared to Enbu. We ordered a cheese sticks starter as shown in the first picture. It was crispy but a bit lacking in cheese. For the mains, we ordered an oyster tomyum hotpot with soba and a grilled stone fish. Think the signature dishes from Sumiya are the fishes as they are
air flown from Japan.
I never tried stone fish before. The fish is kinda small and ugly looking but the texture of the meat is quite firm and nice. For the fish, u can have the option of using half of it to grill and half for steamboat or sashimI.  Think next time I will pick a larger fish.....

Oma spoon Korean bingsu

Tried another Korean Bingsu called Oma Spoon located at 313 somerset. Ordered my fave matcha bingsu and this time, my hubby and I can't even finished it. It is very matcha rich as alot of matcha powder were sprinkled on top and topped with a green tea scoop of ice cream. For matcha lover, it's paradise. Though i wish they can come with a smaller portion for 1 person ....

Les Miserables Musical & izakaya

Had dinner at Enbu Japanese Grill Izakaya on saturday at Suntec. The oysters in unagi sauce and spinach was my fave dish.
We also ordered this mixed prawn, pork and chicken charcoal grilled stick. The meat was very tender and juicy with a strong charcoal grilled smell and taste.
After dinner, we walked over to Esplanade to watch the les Miserables Musical.  It's been more than 20 years since it was last shown in SG. I have not watched it before and was very excited about it. Maybe becoz my expectations were too high, somehow it did not wow me. It was good but I still prefer phantom of the opera. The singing was good but I could not catch most of what they were singing and the story plot moved too fast. Luckily I know the story beforehand, otherwise I would not know what is happening at all.
Maybe I can catch it again when I go London in Oct at West End...sighz. ....looking fwd to Oct.....
