Hokkaido trip-Furano day 2

This is the second time I went back to Hokkaido after 11 years. The first time was during my honeymoon. Wow...time flies....

Farm Tomita is by far one of the best lavender farm in Furano and also the most crowded. Do come early and on a weekday to avoid the crowd.

It’s such a picturesque place....
I’m already missing it....

The lavender ice cream is a must try food.

And also the honey dew! Yumyum....

We managed to explore all parts of the park which we were unable to do so 11 years ago as we were on a tour  and time was a constraint.

Some quieter parts of the park with fewer ppl. V peaceful and tranquil feel....

Beautiful red poppies in bloom....

More lavender.....

The iconic Farm Tomita scenery with different colours of flowers....

More food...tried this at the melon farm next door.

We even check out the ulu farm Tomita East located a few kilometers away which only opened during July season.

No crowds here for sure. There is even a tractor trailer ride available for a small cost.
Since we reached Farm Tomita v early, we managed to finished exploring all by 2pm. Thus, giving us time for our next stop: Shikisai no Oka.

We took a trailer ride around the park at first.

The park was quite big.

View at the highest point in the park.

Rows of pretty flowers...

The iconic straw statue of shikisai no oka. I find this place too touristy and v dusty as they rent out golf carts for ppl to use around the park and it kicks up a lot of dirt from the ground. Maybe there were just too many ppl....

End off with dinner at this place called Yuiga Doxon 唯我独尊. Heard high reviews about it but not a foreigner friendly place. I don’t have such experience in Tokyo but for Hokkaido, I do find the service standard to be less enthusiastic compare to Tokyo. Anyway, the food was good but I just feel v put off by the signs in the shop, it simply give off a v unwelcoming signal to non Japanese people.
