Hokkaido Trip: Furano day 3

Start of the third day in Furano by visiting the blue lake. At first I was quite skeptical of it, thinking its just the lighting effect but it turned out to be really blue!

There was a slight drizzle on that day.

Comparison between the blue lake and normal river water.

V tranquil and beautiful lake....

Next we went to Kamifurano flower land.

Lavender over the backdrop of Biei. There are nobody around and it’s so wonderful having the whole place to yourself! I enjoy walking among the lavender and smelling in the lavender fragrance....

The rain keep following us....

Bye bye....next we head to this place called Rokkatei overlooking a winery.

It’s actually a cafe selling sweets and snacks with free coffee....not bad for a halfway stop.

Next we went to another lavender farm called Saika no Sato. It’s one of my fave coz they have this ski lift chair for 1 person that brings you up to the top of the hill. It’s quite fun!

It’s actually a bit scary coz you need to cling onto the metal bar next to you. There’s nothing to strap yourself in....

The view of lavender when going up the ski lift....

View at the top!

Too bad the sky was too cloudy to get a nice shot....
There are no barricades at this park which means you can walk right inside the lavender flowers, unlike Farm Tomita.

Dinner was at Kumagera. Food was v nice and service was good. The waitress can speak v good English. There was quite a long queue but we managed to get seated within 15mins as we were early.

The seafood hot pot was v satisfying....yum yum...

The ikura was fresh and delicious.

To walk off our dinner, we went to this place called Ningle Terrace. It’s v beautiful at night.

Sells mainly art and craft stuff. Mainly here to enjoy the cool night breeze and the lightings.
