Pom pom purin cafe coming to Singapore!

Pom pom purin cafe is finally coming to Singapore, yeah! It is scheduled to open in mid April next month to commemorate 20th anniversary of Pompom Purin and his birthday. Took this picture at Orchard Central 4th Storey, which it will be located. 

 Can't wait for it to open! 

Lunch at Spizza

Grab a quick lunch at Spizza located in Balmoral Plaza before my french lesson start.

The aglio olio is good. I like the pizza too. Been a long time since I had Spizza again...think more than 10 years....glad to try it again and it still taste good.

Good Friday lunch at Suntec

Had lunch at a Korean restaurant at Suntec today. Decide to try their ugly stew as we love eating that. The portion was quite big and filling for 2 person. Many ppl ate their lunch time promo steamboat set which looks v good and value for money. However, they charge 50 cents for use of each wet tissue.

Will come and try their steamboat set next time. 

A fun filled birthday

Took leave on my birthday and had a great time. In the morning, we went to Garden by the bay to view the cherry blossoms display. Seeing all these cherry blossoms made me remember the times when I was in Japan last year to view the cherry blossom. It's so beautiful....sighz...seeing them here in SG is just so different. 

Next we had lunch at Equinox located on the 70th floor of Raffles City. It's my first time there and the view was stunning. 

We had a seat next to the window. I can see all the iconic landmarks of SG in this view. 

We had the semi buffet lunch. For the main course, I chose the grilled barrumundi. Everything else was free flow and self service. I like the Sri Lanka crabs! This is the perfect buffet for me as I prefer seafood, appetitizer, desserts and soup over mains. 

There is a wide selection of cheese and some of them are quite nice.

After lunch, we went to Arteastiq at Mandarin Gallery for a art session. Since its my birthday, I have a 1 for 1 promotion. It include a free set of paint brush and a free drink. It's my first time painting on a  canvas and a million years since I hold a paintbrush in my hand. Haha...I attempted to paint Van Gogh's Starry Night...well....I tried my best using the lousy paintbrush and the result is this.....

Looks more like an impressionist version of starry night. Haha....it was fun and three hours just flew past.

Last but not least, my birthday present from hubby....a Bering watch with a ceramic strap, marble face and swaroski crystals. I like it! Guess he knows my preference when it comes to watches. 

Delicious lunch at Ippudo

Had lunch at Ippudo located at Mandarin Gallery. It's been a long time since I ate Ippudo. This time, they have a new flavour- fish and pork soup broth. It's super delicious with a tinge of the fish flavour without any overpowering taste of the pork. The dab of chilli at the side of the bowl add a zesty spicy aftertaste to the overall effect. Enjoyed the broth v much.

Weekend lunch at shirokiya

Had lunch at Shirokiya located at Chimes on a weekend. The unagi don set in a hot stone bowl with salad, drink, miso soup is only $15 nett! So cheap, thanks to this app I downloaded called Jpassport. The location was nice and the food was good but the restaurant was bit too hot and stuffy as they only on the ceiling fans but not the aircon. Was sweating as I was wolfing down my food. 

Lunch at JJ fishmart

Went to Central at Clarke Quay originally to have lunch at Santouku coz they are having a special promotion of $3.10++ for all their ramen just for 1 day. Even though we left earlier for lunch, the queue was still v long. So, we gave up and settle for JJ fismart at level 1 near subway. Since we are early, we are the first customers of the day, maybe that's why the owner gave us a complimentary plate of fish appetiser. Anyway, I ordered a bowl of salmon and ikura chirashi don with comes with a small bowl of miso soup.  For $15.80 nett, the chirashi don was bit on the small side but the seafood was v fresh and delicious. Might just pop by again if we ever happen to go central next time.

Start of my beginner French class

Will be attending beginner French class at France Allianz located near Newton MRT together wit hubby. It's the first lesson and I'm already feeling a bit lost......even though I have taken some basic french years ago when I was in US. That's the way with language....once u dun use it, u will lose it....
